Walking tours and cooking classes

Hello

In Wednesday we did a free walking tour of the gothic area of Barcelona. our tour guide was from Sweden and has lived in Barcelona for a feww years. The tour lasted about two and a half or three hours. It was run by a place called travel bar and they organize a bunch of different events for people visiting Barcelona. After the tour we walked around the Mercat boqueria, giant market similar to west side market or Findlay market. Go some handmade ravioli and pesto and an empanada. Later that night we came back to las ramblas and wandered around observing the nightlife. We someone ended up in a weird grunge nineties bar, surrounded by barelonas most interesting looking people. Tattoos, face piercings, super original hair styles and crazy clothes, Amy and I looked super out of place, so we finished our drink and booked it out of there. Met a couple nice people in the next place. A girl from california who s couchsurfing around Europe for a while and her host. Ended up salsa dancing with them for a little bit, I was horrible. They were combining a bunch of different styles of dance with salsa and I could not follow. Oh well, solid effort. Jennifer, some other place played that beggin' song, danced for you.
Yesterday we went to the columbus memorial, but the elevator was broken so we couldn't go up to the top... So we walked around by the water instead. There were so many boats at the port and a little art fair was going on as well. Colleen, if you are reading this I tried to take pictures if some cool jewelry for you but they got pissed and told me to stop. we ended up down by the beach, it was so packed. Got a picture of a speedo lifeguard suit, or just someone who really likes lifeguard wear. Around six we had a paella cooking class that was organized by travel bar. Typically these types of classes cost at least 60 euro, but this one was only 19 so we signed up. Taught us stuff about making tapas and sangria as well as a giant seafood paella. I picked around the seafood and amy got all of my fish. They have eyeballs.
We made friends with a nice Australian couple and decided to sign up for the kayaking/ cave snorkeling trip on Sunday. It was a little more expensive than I would like but it lasts six hours and they feed you afterwards. And when will I get another chance to cave snorkel in the Mediterranean??
Today we are going to look at a bunch of the gaudi places starting with la sagrada familia. I'm pumped, everything is so crazy looking. We are hoping to spend a lot of time in park guell. Woot.
